hello readers,
by: everyone
today there will be no new poem because instead i want to learn about you! so, dear reader, tell me about yourself: add a poem of yours; tell me about how your poetry career has been; your book/chapbook (add a link if you want too); what's your favorite book by another poet; your favorite magazine; your favorite poem by another poet; and anything else that you'd like to get out into the world!
let us get to know one another and let this magazine be a community!
the world may be on fire, but poetry can bring so much love and togetherness!

List of Seemingly Unrelated Observations —Grace Butcher
Distance, like snow, melts.
Walking in deep yellow leaves drowns out your voice.
Thinking, like a deep river, eats canyons in your mind.
Everything blossoms that can.
Everything blossomed that could.
Stars move if they are airplanes; wish fast.
You can live in as many places at once as you need to.
For some places you don’t go anymore, you still have a key.
A dream brings you into morning one way or another.
Hey everyone! John knows me a bit, but to the rest of you: I write pretty eclectically, but a lot of my work is centered on disability, the body, relationships, and, above all, seeking psychic integration on the page. My Substack is called The Speculative Nonfictionist because I think this approach to genre is the most honest, since all truth is speculative in some way, and all speculation has truth to it because someone has performed it. Again, psychic integration is the goal, though it’s certainly tougher in our atomized world.
